Farm Market
Here at Reesor Farm Market, we value fresh food grown close to home, and so we are proud to offer only Ontario grown produce. Join us, each year beginning in early June, for an adventure in seasonal eating.
June is an exciting time of year for all of us here at the farm as we feature strawberries picked from our own fields (pick-your-own and ready picked), rhubarb, asparagus and several kinds of peas, as well as beautiful hanging baskets. Our customers are always eager to enjoy fresh, locally grown produce again. Meanwhile, our bakers are busy whipping up all kinds of tasty, seasonal treats. May we recommend a shortcake to compliment the fresh strawberries?
Just as strawberries are drawing to a close in mid-July, it's time for our own raspberries, and of course, our family favourite, peach-raspberry pie! Enjoy picking the raspberries yourself, or buy them ready picked.
Before we know it, it's time for sweetcorn! Our farm got its start selling freshly picked sweetcorn at the side of the road, and from early July right up until the first frost (usually near the end of September) we still sell delicious sweetcorn picked fresh daily. Each year, we grow about 8 different varieties of sweetcorn, each with its own unique flavour.
Beginning in late July we offer our own field tomatoes as well as peaches from Loffrettos's farm in Niagara, the customer favourite sweet and crunchy carrots from John Marquis' farm in the Holland Marsh as well as many other fruits and vegetables. Wild blueberry pie is a seasonal favourite from our bakery at this time of year.
By the time September rolls around we feature many varieties of apples, perfect for tucking into a school lunch box or baking into a tasty apple crumble.
At the end of our season in October the market grounds are filled with hundreds of pumpkins as well as the sweet and spicy aroma of pumpkin pie wafting from the oven.
